iFilm English TV to air final curtain for ‘Amir Kabir’

iFilm English TV Channel has been set to air the final episode of ‘Amir Kabir’ on Sunday night.

The final episode of the series, directed by Saeed Nikhpour, will be aired on September 18, 2022, at 23:00 GMT.

‘Amir Kabir’ narrates the story of one of Iran’s most famous historical figures, and the most famous of Iran’s Qajar dynasty. He served as Prime Minister of Persia under Nasser al-Din Shah.

But as a man of the people and a true patriot, his policies, revolutionary for their time, don’t sit well with pampered court members, the Shah’s mother and foreign entities who were used to taking advantage of the subservience and complacency of Iran’s rulers.

Notable among the cast members of the series are Fakhri Khorvash, Parviz Pour-Hosseini, Iraj Rad, Mohammad Motee, Fakhreddin Seddiq-Sharif, Zhaleh Olov, and the director.

‘Amir Kabir’, made in 1985, will be replaced by ‘Day of Envy’ directed by Sirous Moqaddam.
